As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be a domain expert of all the Physical Design of Augury’s cutting edge hardware products. You will lead the end to end IoT products development, from concepts, prototyping, designs and to NPI and Manufacturing. 

A Day in Your Life

  • Initiate, design and develop physical solutions for the IOT hardware products according to customer, market and manufacturing needs.
  • Lead the sourcing of components and materials to support development and manufacturing requirements.
  • Prototype design and experiments, including electrical aspects and documentation.
  • Execute on all the technical aspects of new product development. Includes definition, design, test, qualification, documentation and release to manufacturing.
  • Work closely with the operations team to implement, train and coordinate the production of our products.
  • Lead the process and documentation of specification changes, standard operating procedures and work instructions.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in the development of physical products in multidisciplinary companies. Hands on NPI and manufacturing experience is an advantage. Electrical engineering knowledge is an advantage. Software and working with data is an advantage.
  • Playground: You are passionate about developing products from prototypes to production. Feel comfortable with 3D CAD tools, such as Solid Works. Love to research new designs, technologies, and materials. You bring creativity and out of the box thinking. Familiarity with lab equipment (pull testers, micrometers, microscopes...).  An electrical engineering background is a huge advantage. 
  • Lean Manufacturing: You are excited about bringing new product to production, understand the production process and how to apply these principles in new product releases. You participate in failure analysis and work closely with suppliers and manufacturing plants to ensure that design changes are robust and feasible for manufacturing.
  • Agile Maker: You are self-driven and results orientated. Strong focus on project framing, problem definition and generation of solutions alternatives. Support decisions through research, engineering options and data analysis. You are capable to advocate your rational, influence key stakeholders, collect critical inputs and facilitate collective solutions. You have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments.
