Sourcing Manager, Contract Manufacturing

About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager, Contract Manufacturing to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for Augury's hardware products. You will own contract manufacturing relationships, develop global sourcing strategies, and ensure the successful execution of new product introductions (NPI) and mass production.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Product, and Planning teams to optimize cost, improve supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, and ensure continuity of supply as Augury continues to scale its global manufacturing operations.
A Day In Your Life
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
- Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract management for contract manufacturers and strategic suppliers.
- Manage contract manufacturing partners to ensure capacity, equipment readiness, material availability, and successful execution of new product introductions (NPI) and production.
- Own supplier forecasting, inventory planning, purchasing activities, and MRP execution to ensure supply continuity and accurate ERP data.
- Drive supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Product teams to resolve supplier issues and align sourcing strategies with future product roadmaps.
- Develop project budgets, capital investment plans, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models to support manufacturing decisions.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while presenting sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, and business cases to senior leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 9+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or engineering.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers and global supplier relationships.
- Experience supporting both New Product Introduction (NPI) and high-volume production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing, including SMT, mechanical assemblies, and final product assembly.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies across a global supplier base.
- Demonstrated success negotiating supplier contracts, pricing, capital investments, and commercial agreements.
- Experience with cost modeling, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, MRP planning, and purchasing processes.
- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
