Senior Manager, Sales and Value Engineering

About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Sales & Value Engineering, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and global expansion. You’ll lead, build and support a team of high-performing Sales & Value Engineers. You and the team will partner with Account Executives, leading the technical strategy and business value assessment in enterprise sales cycles. You’ll shape solution design, influence product direction, and position Augury as a long-term strategic partner to the world’s most advanced industrial organizations.

A Day In Your Life

  • Lead and develop: Manage and grow a team of Sales Engineers to support our sales teams, delivering technical wins and exceeding growth targets.
  • Lead technical strategy in the sales process: Partner closely with Account Executives to define solution architectures, build compelling value narratives, and drive technical alignment with customer priorities.
  • Accelerate customer success: Develop deep expertise in the Augury platform and its business impact to shorten time-to-value (TTV) for customers and partners.
  • Drive consultative engagements: Build trust and credibility with executives and technical stakeholders by understanding their strategic goals and demonstrating how Augury’s solutions enable transformative outcomes.
  • Deliver world-class demos and presentations: Create tailored demonstrations, deliver technical presentations to C-level audiences, and clearly articulate the business impact of our platform.
  • Shape the solution roadmap: Act as the voice of the customer in feedback loops with Product and Engineering, influencing future capabilities and ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Mentor and scale the function: Coach junior team members, champion best practices, and serve as an evangelist for Sales Engineering both internally and externally.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience: 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years as a sales or solutions engineer selling complex SaaS solutions to large global enterprises and 3+ years building and managing teams. Direct ownership or close collaboration with value engineering.
  • Enterprise sales partnership: Demonstrated success collaborating with sales teams to shape strategy, navigate complex sales cycles, and close seven- and eight-figure deals.
  • Technical depth: Strong understanding of IT, IoT, and data architectures, with familiarity across industrial manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, vibration analysis, CMMS, and MES systems. Experience with data science or data engineering is a plus.
  • Executive communication: Exceptional ability to present to senior stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value.
  • Customer obsession: A consultative mindset with a track record of building strong, trusted relationships with enterprise clients.
  • Leadership mindset: Experience mentoring others and elevating the impact of a sales engineering team is highly desirable.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $240,000 to $260,000, California is $250,000 to $280,000, and New York City is $250,000 to $280,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The pay offered may vary depending on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, and experience.
