Brand Designer Manager

As a Brand Designer Manager, your primary role is to act as the design lead, owning projects while delivering work with brilliant creative ideas, exceptional design and craft skills, and smart strategic thinking and situational management. You’ll work cross-functionally, solving complex problems, taking responsibility for the details, embracing feedback and changes on projects. You are consistently proactive, accountable and responsive, instantly adapting to any situation.

You Will:

  • Oversee all internal and external-facing online and print creative materials from conception to final delivery; provides clear creative direction, guidance, and feedback to all team members to ensure ability to meet organizational and needs
  • Lead strategic design thinking and brainstorms, and partners with all other Marketing functions to ideate solutions and creative ways to use design for storytelling
  • Concisely and strongly communicate strategy, brand and design concepts, and creative ideas to internal and external partners
  • Ensure the Augury brand and standards are upheld through all materials, including those created for both internal and external stakeholders, and that all work is strategic, effective, and consistent
  • Build the Design studio (Marketing) as an integral part of the marketing team

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience working as a Designer/Art Director/Digital Designer at an agency or brand
  • BA in Graphic Design or related degree/education
  • Mastery of Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Ability to translate business goals into innovative, meaningful, and differentiated digital, interactive, social and viral brand experiences
  • A solid understanding of design principles including layout, typography, and color theory
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates a passion for great design and shows stylistic breath, attention to detail, and usability
  • Ability to communicate/negotiate well with team members and articulate rationale for design decisions
  • Ability to manage many projects at once and meet deadlines and recommend tools for smooth facilitation
  • A pulse on what is relevant in culture, design and technology and can push for and help set trends - and break through noise
  • A self-starter attitude with an excitement to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with animation and prototyping tools such as After Effects, Sketch, Figma, Principle, or similar
